If your lesson plays too long, you run the risk of losing the attention span of your learner and lowering the effectiveness of the lesson in general.   So how long is too long?

Recently I have reviewed a lot of e-Learning courses to get ideas for our further product development of easygenerator. One of the things I noticed was that learning objectives often play a secondary role or no role at all. Most of the time they are only anchors to attach scores to, so you can measure if somebody has successfully completed your course.

What I Learnt About Mobile Learning Design

I recently came across a report on the Deloitte website , which estimates that global Smartphone market sales will touch 375 million by the end of 2011. This means that there are going to be millions of Smartphone users out there, who can access mobile learning anywhere, at any time. That’s a huge market whose needs we can hardly afford to ignore. Mobile hardware has its own limitations and hence we need to adhere to some critical design conventions in order to make our mobile applications a suc

Mobile Learning and the Continuing Death of Flash

Learning Tools Directory 2011

Jane Hart

I’ve just spent the last few days overhauling the Learning Tools Directory. Over the last year there has been quite a lot of change one way or another in terms of tools. Some tools have disappeared or died (eg gnolia), others have been acquired (eg Dimdim), some have changed their name (eg twine to evri), and some have changed focus and no longer offer what they once did.

It sounded like a great source of inspiration for eLearning design.so I immediately clicked the link and viewed the 17-minute video. Chatfield spends the first few minutes establishing the motivational power of video games by citing feats of time and money invested by people for the sake of games.

One large learning systems provider says mobile learning is what’s done on your laptop.
